The best employers in the Netherlands, according to Linkedin
LinkedIn recently released a report presenting the top 25 employers in the Netherlands for 2023. The study, compiled by the popular social media and job platform, aims to identify the most desirable companies for individuals seeking career growth opportunities. This marks the third consecutive year in which LinkedIn has curated a list of the top 50 employers not only in the Netherlands but also in other countries worldwide.
The evaluation process involves analyzing several key factors. These include assessing the potential for employee advancement within the company as well as post-employment, examining the availability of training and career development programs within the organization, evaluating the company's strength and stability, and considering the number of layoffs that occurred in 2022.
The top 25 workplaces for career growth in the Netherlands encompass a diverse range of industries, with a notable presence of tech and software development companies. ASML, a global leader in chip-making equipment manufacturing, secured the prestigious first place position. Additionally, software developers such as Miro, ServiceNow, Atlassian, and SAP all achieved rankings within the top 15.
Interestingly, renowned sporting goods giants Nike and Adidas found themselves among the top 10 employers, alongside Amazon and Uber. These companies have faced scrutiny in recent times due to concerns regarding unfavorable working conditions and employment agreements. In addition to the inclusion of various international corporations, the rankings acknowledged Shell, an Anglo-Dutch multinational, securing the 14th spot. Moreover, two prominent Dutch banks, Rabobank and ING, were also recognized as top employers, solidifying their positions within the top 25.
In summary, the LinkedIn report for 2023 unveils the leading employers in the Netherlands, with ASML claiming the top position. The rankings reflect a broad spectrum of employers and industries, featuring tech companies, sporting goods giants, multinational corporations, and prominent local banks.
